Overview

Esri (Environmental Science Research Institute) is the leading software company in the world for GIS (geographic information systems). Their week-long annual user conference invites 20,000+ users to learn more about the company, meet with their peers, and discover the ever-growing future of GIS.

Work

Adhesive wall fabric, printed signs, and promotional items were created by the in-house design team. Design work for external agencies such as the Jane Goodall Institute and the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation were also completed during a summer internship.

Employee Cards

To celebrate employee milestones, print and ecards were designed to send to Esri staff across the globe for specific years. Select styles ranging from playful to professional allowed human resources and managers to easily appreciate their unique teams.

Apparel & Social Media

T-shirt designs were conceptualized for the annual summer conference. A variety of colors and GIS elements were explored for men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel.

User Conference

Key art was used across all signage to decorate the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego International Airport, the Hilton, Marriott, and Omni hotels, and surrounding downtown area. Marketing included meterboards, wayfinding signs, digital ads, environmental graphics, and billboards.

Exhibits

Keynote speakers Jane Goodall and E.O. Wilson had double-sided set of book signing displays and information booths for their conference booths. Both displays provided autobiographical information about the individuals’ accomplishments and work for those in line to view.
